今はインターネットなどでお金をかけずに英語学習ができる時代なので、高いゲーム機とソフトを購入して英語を勉強する気にはなれない。効果があると証明されているわけでもないし。テレビゲームが脳の活動を低下させ、ゲームをやめた後も数時間は脳が活性化しないという研究結果があると、聞いたことがある。

英語はネイティブに習うのが一番。マンツーマンが理想だが、スカイプを使って音声のみ、または無料インターネットフォーラムで文字で学ぶのもいい。

何か目標を持つことが大切。たとえばTOEIC990点を目標にすれば、やる気が沸いてくる。ただゲームをするのとはわけが違うはず。

It's important to have explicit goals. For example, if you have a goal to get a score of 990 on the TOEIC, you could become more energetic. Games are totally different.
